Title: Navigating Medicare Part B: Billing Essentials for Social Workers in Integrated Care

Speaker: Bonnie Ewald, MA and Akane Kumagai, LCSW

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the historical and policy context of Medicare coverage for social work services.

  2. Identify billing opportunities and service models for social workers under Medicare Part B.

  3. Apply billing concepts including coverage criteria, coding standards, and provider enrollment.

  4. Evaluate practice settings and collaborative models that impact billing eligibility and reimbursement.
