How to Celebrate Social Work Month 2024

The Coalition for Social Work and Health is celebrating Social Work Month 2024! This March, the theme is “Empowering Social Workers” to highlight how the nation can benefit from a robust and supported workforce. Here’s what you can do to raise awareness about the value of social work in healthcare settings:

Post Online

Use the power of your personal or organizational social media accounts. In addition to the Coalition’s hashtag #socialworkisKEY, add #SWMonth2024 or #EmpoweringSocialWorkers to your posts to start a conversation. Don’t forget to follow and tag @C4SWHealth on X/Twitter.

Need content ideas? Check out this toolkit from one of our Coalition members, the National Association of Social Workers.

Visit Your Representative’s District Office

As part of continuing advocacy efforts this year, the Coalition has developed an outreach initiative for constituents to locally engage (virtually or in-person) with their members of Congress and share messaging on the value of social work in health.

To participate, please sign up here.

Add to the Coalition’s Resource Inventory

Have you published research? Been in the news? Wrote a training course? Let’s get your project in front of a bigger audience! Email [email] with a link to your work and get it added to the CSWH Resource Inventory.

If you are seeking writing opportunities, the Coalition is developing materials about health social work subspecialties. Email [email] for more information.
